Maria carried the weight of fear, exhaustion, and loneliness, working multiple jobs while worrying about how she would provide for her children. One Saturday, while receiving a food box at Harvest for the Hungry, a volunteer asked if they could pray for her. Overwhelmed with emotion, Maria shared her struggles, and in that moment, she prayed to accept Jesus as her Savior, experiencing a profound sense of peace and hope she had never known before. Since then, Maria attends church faithfully, brings her children, volunteers regularly, and joyfully shares the hope of Jesus with others in her community.

Harvest for the Hungry is built on a commitment to share the Gospel, intentionally engaging every visitor while providing nutritious, farm-to-table food. By addressing both physical hunger and spiritual need, this ministry uses sustainable agriculture to serve Southeast Texas communities and expand God’s Kingdom through discipleship, fellowship, and outreach.
