A 9-year-old boy in Los Angeles was trapped in a life of violence. He listened to CEF’s work with children in one of the city’s public parks. He always kept his distance before disappearing back into his bleak environment. One day the teacher caught up with him and asked if he wanted to accept Christ. He replied, “I can’t be saved. I’ve been very bad. God could never love me.” After encouragement and hearing the truth of the Gospel, he decided to believe Christ as Savior. That day, he discovered the joy and peace only Jesus can bring.
