In Marsabit, Kenya, a group of pastors once set out on foot to share the Gospel with no money, food, or water. After days of exhaustion and hunger, their mission seemed discouraging, with only a few initial responses of faith. On the third day, everything changed when a man heard the Gospel and believed in Jesus as Savior. Immediately, his family cooked and fed the weary team, giving them strength and hope. Today, that same man is a pastor, enrolled in Hamoreh training, leading others in evangelism, and helping multiply disciples across Marsabit. What began in hunger now yields harvest.
Hamoreh equips pastors in desolate regions of East Africa who evangelize, disciple, and plant churches that transform communities. While there is great zeal for evangelism—fire—there is often a lack of biblical truth—light. As a result, much preaching is not grounded in the Gospel. Without sound doctrine and healthy leadership, the fire of faith risks burning out, as it has in previous generations.
