Eddy Hallock was born to missionary parents in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oklahoma and Masters from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Over a 48-year career ministry, he pastored several churches and served as a missionary in Brazil for 15 years. He served as the director of evangelism for the Carioca Convention and was executive director of the Governor’s Island Baptist Association. Hallock’s cultural experiences in the two countries have been a great asset to him as he served for 13 years as the Minister of Missions at Tallowood Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. Beyond his administrative role, Eddy was the liaison between Tallowood and 5 other ethnic churches that met on their campus; he worked with refugees, helped start new churches, and led over 30 mission trips overseas with volunteers to share the gospel and do philanthropic work, especially among the underserved. Eddy has served for eight years as executive director and now chief executive officer with the Stoller Foundation in Houston. He is married to Brenda. They have 4 children and 8 grandchildren.
