Syria: after 14 years of civil war, which resulted in hundreds of thousands of casualties, I was blessed to find out recently that we have 3,200 beautiful children studying our Bible lessons! They are from such areas as Homs, Coastal Mountains, Kurdish region, Damascus, etc. I’m thankful that the Prince of Peace is at work in that dark country where so many have suffered. Praise the Lord! Sub-Sahara Africa (SSA): our team has developed real time reporting, 6-8 years of TMC evangelism & discipleship for children and youth, and are training teens to run Bible clubs and teach children! As young people complete TMC courses and become teenagers, they are challenged to teach Bible clubs with younger children. At the end of June, we had 96,929 teenagers leading Bible clubs for children in Africa! Imagine that – almost 97,000 teens actually running Bible clubs and teaching children the Word! This is HUGE!
This summer, we are having mini-camps for the teen club leaders in 4 sub-regions of Africa to find out how we can better serve them, and help them grow spiritually. They are not only future leaders for TMC, but they are the future of the Church in their African nations as well! We want to supply additional Bible studies to help them continue to grow in the Lord, including teaching on abstinence and Biblical marriage. Please pray for us as we steward these relationships for His glory and the expansion of His kingdom!
India is our largest country, and we are planning to print for over 4.6 million children in 2025! The Bible Society of India is requesting our Explorers lessons for an “extra 1.5 million children!” Please pray for God’s abundant supply for funds as this is way over our budget. Pray that our new printing press in India will be fully operational in September 2025 to begin printing for millions of children at a much lower price.
Guatemala: a CRU leader has been using our Love, Dating, and Marriage course, teaching abstinence and purity among young people in public schools. One school district had 50 unwed teen pregnancies in a year. After taking this TMC course, the pregnancy rate dropped to just ONE! As a result, the ministry of education for Guatemala is asking for 3 million teens to go through this program. Please pray for God’s provision, and for the workers needed to accomplish this great assignment.
